Business tycoon and Internet wizard Naveen Jain was raised in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, a place where illiteracy and poverty are experienced most by women and children. The sad plight Jain witnessed made him vow to become wealthy one day so as to help his less fortunate countrymen.
His journey started with acquiring a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Roorkee) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the XLRI Jamshedpur School of Management.
In 1989, he left for America to participate in a business exchange program. Eventually, Bill Gate’s Microsoft Corporation hired him and during his seven-year stint with the said company, he got involved in its systems such as the OS/2, MS-DOS, Windows NT, Windows 95, and it’s online service, The Microsoft Network.
Wanting to create a company through his own initiative, he co-founded InfoSpace with his colleagues from Microsoft in 1996. InfoSpace is a company that brings factual world information on the Internet and any other device.
With the desire to provide accurate information online, Naveen Jain formed another company, Intelius, which has services that includes criminal and financial background checks, security solutions, identity theft protection, and real estate verification services. To date, Intelius has served 10 million clients.
As of the present, Naveen Jain is included in one of Forbes 400 Billionaires in America. Even if he is one of the richest persons in the world, Jain also spends his time as a philanthropist who actively gives financial aid to people, communities, institutions and non-profit organizations that focus on education, poverty alleviation, health, youth and family services both in India and the United States.
Jain has been named one of the Top 20 Entrepreneurs by the Red Herring and one of the Six People Who Will Change the Internet according to Information Week.

Most of the following UK celebrity speakers, presenters and television personalities are available for dinners, personal appearances, ads and conferences in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales - and indeed, worldwide. Some celebs will also host awards ceremonies and presentations. There are many ways in which you can send your marketing messages to your target audience, but it pays to know where they are. A well documented study showed that over 90% or the general population (aka your customers) listen to the radio every week and most of them do so every day. I was listening to radio 2 the other day on BBC radio and I heard the news. I was actually impressed with how clear the newsreaders have been speaking. Whenever, I try to speak within the microphone or even just leave a message on my telephone, I sound all weird! Voice works on a subconscious level even more than on a conscious level. There is voice detection technology used by law enforcement agencies and in corporate espionage. It works much like a lie detector”but without the person being judged knowing that its happening. Some on the finest inside the small business in the voiceover arena include Bill Buckley and a number of that crowd. You could believe the radio announcers you listen to on a day-to-day basis are wonderful at what is called the “Ad Lib” inside small business.
Most of them aren’t. What they are is specialist, creative, funny and most importantly prepared. A lot of top morning shows have qualified writers who are behind the scenes feeding material to the “on air talent” as the display progresses. Others expend hours researching present events and planning what will be included while in the daily show.
That’s simply because, frankly, I don’t normally get it very tough for getting return calls from the voice mail messages I leave. Not even from complete strangers, well-known authors, top-level executives, and so on.

Intelius, a screening, search, and identity security assistance supplier from Bellevue, Washington, has local philanthropists Naveen and Anu Jain as its co-founders. The company, led by the couple, has been actively participating in various Eastside-based nonprofits since its inception in 2003. The Jains believe in the spirit of community giving as a corporate responsibility as well as a “step up” to address the growing need of necessities due to the economic recession.
Intelius, along with its establishers, has sponsored the Overlake Service League (OSL), a nonprofit organization that aims to help homes surrounding the Bellevue School District. Due to its status as the aid group’s primary sponsors, Intelius was recognized as the foundation’s 10th Annual “Step Up to the Plate” Benefit Luncheon last March of this year. The Jains were named as the celebration’s Honorary Chairs, a title that pays homage to their personal assistance and the company’s contributions to the League.
OSL’s Fundraising and Development director Trish Carpenter said that Intelius has taken a step higher into its headship role in the community. The company has continued contributing despite the tough times in the economic world, setting an example for other businesses to follow. As jobs get scarcer, the assistance that the company gives out becomes more significant. “I think Overlake Service League and Intelius are perfect partners for building a better community,” she added.
Ever since the company’s initiation, Naveen Jain has instilled a solid business spirit linked directly to community service. In 2008, Naveen and Anu Jain have stepped up their firm’s philanthropy efforts.
“Giving back has always been part of our lives on a personal as well as on a business level,” said Anu Jain, who is also the company’s Community Relations vice president.
For this year, the firm has implemented an Employee Matching Program and an Employment Volunteer Program, the latter offering paid leaves for the time spent in doing volunteer at local aid and relief organizations.
