Eyewear Part of New Versace Strategy

The Versace empire with its lines of apparel, luxury goods, fragrances, and accessories is now having to deal with the decline in the fashion and luxury goods markets. The iconic label with its luxury, glamour, and a huge celebrity following, now has to cope with sluggish sales and an economic recession.

Versace is famous for bold designs and high profile celebrity campaigns as well as the opulence and excess. The luxury and lifestyle brand has a wide variety of unique collections ranging from ready to wear, couture, purses, resorts, and accessories. One of the most successful subdivisions of the accessories line involves Versace eyeglasses and sunglasses. Now that the market has slowed down, more consumers are turning to these accessories as a way to instill the same luxury they are used to but without the hefty price tag.

The public is aware of the economic issues facing the country. We are all dealing the best way we can. That means trimming the fat in our wallets and wardrobes. Hunting for bargains and sales is at the top of the list. Rather than buying new clothes, we are revising old ones with new accessories. We splurge occassionally on luxury goods but typically the ones we can get good mileage out of. Versace eyeglasses, handbags, shoes, etc., are just the kind of items that get good mileage and can be worn for years to come. If Versace cuts prices and keeps churning out great accessories, it will no doubt outlast the recession.
