For salespeople with “unreimbursed employee business expenses,” keep in mind that the IRS requires documentation be maintained in the event of an audit. First, you must be able to prove that having a business phone or business cell phone is required as a condition of your employment. This means that business phones must be used for a substantial business reason. For example, if using the phone during your regular working hours allows you to work on your employer’s business, it is generally approved as a legitimate business expense.
Remember, you are also eligible to deduct the depreciation value of business related phone equipment. The depreciation method you choose will depend on whether your usage meets the “more than 50% use test.” Even if you use your personal cell phone for business use, you will be able to claim accelerated General Depreciation System if you use your phone for business more than 50% of the time. However, if you use it for business less than 50% of the time, you will be limited to the Alternative Depreciation System.
Your best bet will be to check in with a tax accountant before trying to deduct a mixed-use cell phone or computer, but in most cases the deduction will not outweigh the risk of an IRS audit. Just remember to keep accurate records in the event that the IRS challenges your claims.

I have been shopping for a home security systems for 3 months now and I finally stumbled into a home alarm device that seems to fit my townhouse, my husband and kids and our lifestyle.

Nobody can say I’m terribly satisfied as an “independent” (aka: naturally single) person and be 100% truthful. Even then, I’m not uncomfortable in that way, either. I merely mention it on the blogosphere as an intriguing personal tidbit introducing what I am about to reveal to you
This time last week I met for coffee with Trisha, thinking of signing up for Great Expectations Dallas. Now, I type to my readers as a happy member of the matchmaking service. Seriously, it’s true. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you’ve been paying attention, you’re probably thinking, “You got some ’splainin to do, Lucy!”
Here’s how it went down, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and liked what I saw. They’re for quality and professional singles who think dating doesn’t have to be so frivolous and stupid.
Because I’d never been a fan of whatever it is that my friends and my family call “Dating.” I faced it all the time. Day and night friends ask, “You’re still single? ” and “Just get out there and date him!”
“Ugh, and double ugh.” I reply, without missing a beat. “Take a look around, I’m not missing much.”
“You’re as ridiculous as you are hilarious,” they deadpan. “That’s just an excuse for your cynicism.”
Leave it to my best friend (on a good day) (hehe) Trisha Feldman. She pours rational thought to my mind to put me back on course. People are always there for fresh advice. No countering that, and I thank her for it.
Coming home to the message of this blog entry. As I browsed from thousands of outfits (hah) and desirable, honest singles for my first singles event with Great Expectations, something occurred to me that was quite true. For years, I hadn’t had too many literal great expectations for dating and myself in the adventurous path of this world. It’s good to be single, even more so with healthy optimism. Having great expectations makes a difference for a caring soul.

With our Sun somewhat erratic with solar flares of high magnitude and a rather hard to predict solar cycle astronauts, space explorers and space tourists face uncertain risks. We must solve this problem of space radiation to protect our space ships and their occupants if we are to Boldly Go where no man or woman has gone before and come back safely; that is to say live to tell about it.
Recently in an online think tank one of the members suggested; “How about a Radiation Reflector. You take the incoming radiation, infrasound and background noise and reflect it towards the sun to try and delete the radiation in the localized area directly around the spacecraft and direction of travel.”
“What if we take that radiation and reflect it forward toward the intended direction of travel. This might allow you to use the sun as a slingshot without toasting yourself in a Solar X-Flare, cooking me and the crew” said another think tanker.
Yet others said; “Hey wait a minute here. If it is energy, we want it because it is “Free” and plentiful, so let’s collect it, not delete it. Or collect it and modify it to our perfection thru wave manipulation and then use it. Maybe collect and reflect, use the collector to power the reflector in other words? Or the laser to disrupt, diffuse or cancel out the incoming danger.”
At the end of the online discussion members admitted that these were merely thoughts only, no answers. Thinking out loud if you will. Do you have thoughts on how to deal with the radiation issues, which hamper our efforts to make space travel safe? If so consider this in 2006.
